As part of its Comprehensive Teacher Incentives Program (TIP), BRAVEAURORA has offered ICT training course to the teachers of St. Michael’s Primary School and JHS. The ICT training courses was provided by the Walewale Computer Lab. The amount of ICT training each term depends on how well the teachers have performed. The better their evaluations at the end of the term, the more training days they earn.
Each term, the Educational Coordinator calculates how many days of ICT training have been earned.
To do so, the coordinator uses the following key as a guide:
|CROSS SECTION OF GUABULIGA TEACHERS AT THE ICT TRAINING|
FINAL GROUP TERM RATING - DAYS OF ICT TRAINING GIVEN IN THE FOLLOWING TERM
1 or 2 – NO TRAINING – Termly average performance of teachers below 69% and below
3 - SMALL TRAINING (one day) Termly average performances between 70%-79%
4 - MEDIUM TRAINING (two days) Termly average performances between 80%-89%
5 - LARGE TRAINING (three days) Termly average performances between 90%-100%
For this particular term, the average score for all the teachers stood at 78%. This meant that the teachers earned one day. The training took place on Saturday, 12th December, 2015. The cost of the THE TRAINING was GHC150. BRAVEAURORA provided transport for teachers to and from Guabuliga. BRAVEAURORA also provided lunch worth GHc8 and GHc 12 (those who came by their own means) for each participant/trainee for the day.
