GUABULIGA CHIEF PRESENTS FOOTBALLS AND FOOTBALL BOUTS TO GUABULIGA PRIMARY SCHOOL

The chief of Guabuliga, his majesty SALIFU TAMPURI has in a colourful ceremony presented footballs and football bouts to Guabuliga primary School in Guabuliga. This according to the him, would help improve sporting disciplines especially football in the primary school.

YOUNG AMBASSADORS CAMPAIGN AT KURUGU

The young ambassadors this week took their campaign to kurugua a village in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region of Ghana. The goal of the programme is to create awareness on the negative effects of institutional care and on the positive effects of (extended) family care, that parents and the Community should realize that giving away their child to an orphanage can be supremely negative for the further development and the whole life of their child.

TRAINEES WRITE PROFICIENCY EXAMNINATIONS WITH THE NATIONAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE (NVTI)



All the trainees at the Guabuliga Vocational Training Centre with the exception of the pomade trainees have taken their proficiency examinations with The National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI). The examinations which were taken on the 8th and 9th September, 2015 lasted between 3 for the hair dressers and 4 hours for the batik, tie and dye and the tailor and dressmakers. The programmes which were examined include; batik, tie & dye, soap making, dress making, tailoring and hairdressing.   This picture shows what the dressmakers produced in the examination hall. Successful candidates will receive their certificates in March, 2016. The dressmaking/tailors and  hairdressing programme will officialy end on the 30th September, 2015. This will pave way for the introduction of new programmes into the centre.
