BATIK TIE AND DYE PROGRAMME ENDS TODAY AT THE GUABULIGA VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE

Following the confirmation from the master trainer of the BATIK TIE AND DYE PROGRAMME that all the trainees can now produce batik‚ tie and dye materials very well on their own‚ we have decided to close the programme today 30th June 2015 at the GUABULIGA VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE. The trainees are expected to return to the centre in September‚ 2015 to take proficiency examinations with The National Vocational Training Institute(NVTI) for proficiency certificates.

TRAINEES PRODUCE BATIK‚ TIE AND DYE MATERIALS

The batiktie and dye trainees at the Guabuliga Vocational Training Centre have independently produced nice batik tie and dye materials. This means that they are now ready to set up their own batik tie and dye businesses with little financial support from BRAVEAURORA.

BRAVEAURORA LAUNCHES UNIFORM FOR ITS TRAINEES

BRAVEAURORA has launched and distributed uniforms to its trainees at the GUABULIGA VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE IN GUABULIGA IN THE NORTHERN REGION OF GHANA. The uniforms are designed with BRAVEAURORA LOGO with the inscription ‘RAISING PERSPECTIVES IN AFRICA’ boldly written on them. Below is a picture of some of the trainees at the Guabuliga Vocational Training Centre in Guabuliga in their uinforms.

UPDATE ON VILLAGE MICRO-CREDIT

BRAVEAURORA called for applications (business proposals) for funding in the 2nd round of the village micro-credit programme from 1st April‚ 2015 to 30th April‚ 2015.  A total of 167 applications (business proposals) were received. Out of this number ‚ 30 best applicants (business proposals) were shortlisted for interview. Two applicants however‚ could not defend their proposals and were therefore disqualified. This means that 28 applicants (business proposals) made the final list.
